Preparing for a high-altitude trek requires the right information. From gear requirements to safety protocols, we have answered the most frequent questions to help you trek with confidence with Summit Warriors.
For most treks like Kuari Pass or Satopanth, the best windows are Pre-monsoon (April to June) for lush greenery and Post-monsoon (September to November) for crystal clear mountain views and stable weather.
While treks like Bagini Glacier or Pangarchulla Peak are moderate to hard, beginners with good physical fitness can join our easier trails like Kuari Pass. Summit Warriors provides expert guides to assist you at every step.
Safety is our priority. We carry medical kits, oxygen cylinders, and oximeters on every trek. Our leaders are certified in Wilderness First Aid and monitor every participant's health daily to prevent AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness).
We recommend starting cardiovascular training (running, swimming, or cycling) at least 4 weeks before your trek. Aim to be able to jog 5km in under 30 minutes to enjoy the high-altitude terrain comfortably.
